Regions

Alliances are central to our work. Partnerships with cultural, historical and arts organizations support our shared engagement in public service. We actively cultivate partnerships that advance humanities statewide with the goal to provide a space for sharing knowledge.

Maryland Humanities’ Regional Humanities Networks (RHN) serves as a space where organizations from different sectors, such as museums, universities, service providers and community organizations can come together to share resources, discuss challenges they are facing in their respective areas, and find solutions.

The RHN conducts listening sessions to learn directly from our partners about their most relevant issues and explore opportunities based on their expressed needs. Our findings inform our efforts to adapt our outreach efforts, build trust, and intentionally engage with diverse communities.

There are a number of regional networks spread throughout the state that reflect the distinct interest, needs and values of those particular communities.
