Maryland Humanities is pleased to announce that along with partners Maryland Public Television (MPT) and the Maryland State Department of Education it has been awarded a $100,000 grant from the Library of Congress through its Teaching with Primary Sources program.

More than 650 talented middle and high students converged on the campus of UMBC on Saturday, May 7, 2016 to compete in the annual Maryland History Day state contest. 63 students were selected to advance to the National History Day competition.
