Maryland Humanities is pleased to announce that Four Rivers Heritage Area has awarded the Maryland Veterans Oral History Project the 2018 Heritage Partnership of the Year Award. The program is a partnership between Southern High School and Maryland Humanities.

Four Maryland students received medals at National History Day. Seventeen other Maryland students received Special Prizes, were awarded Outstanding State Entry, or were selected as a Finalist. All participants at National History Day won first or second place at the Maryland History Day competition.
