Hosted by Maryland Humanities’ Grants Program Officer and Coordinator, this informational session will provide an in-depth description of the Hatza SHINE Grant guidelines and application process.  

What will this session cover?

On June 24, 2024, Maryland Humanities will begin accepting grant applications for its Marilyn Hatza Memorial Strengthening the Humanities Investment in Nonprofits for Equity (SHINE) Grant Program. This program will provide 90 General Operating Support grants worth $10,000, to non-profit organizations the provide humanities programming throughout the state of Maryland.     

This informational session will focus on the Hatza SHINE Grant program which has an application deadline of Sunday, September 1, 2024.

Why should you attend?  The session objectives are:  

  • Review of the Hatza SHINE Grant guidelines, timeline, eligibility requirements, application and evaluation rubric.   
  • Introduce your organization to and meet with Maryland Humanities Grant Program staff.
  • Utilize the session to help decide whether these funding opportunities might be a good fit for your organization.
  • Get your questions answered about the application process or funding priorities.
