How can you become a Program Partner with One Maryland One Book!
1. Sign up!
The deal is simple: if you’ll put on a program themed to What Storm, What Thunder, we’ll send you a batch of books. Fill out our Program Partner Form to sign up.
2. Distribute and promote!
Get the book to your audiences! Remind them when and where the event will take place. Be sure to get your event on our calendar as well, along with many other OMOB events happening across the state.
3. Discuss, engage, and learn!
Take in the truly “novel” experience of connecting with members in your community over the shared experience of reading the same book. There’s nothing else like it — and the diversity of perspectives and experiences each brings broaden what we take away from the page and each other.
How can you read along with One Maryland One Book in your community?
1. Grab your copy
Find the One Maryland One Book at your local library or bookstore and get reading!
2. Reach out
Each year, more than 10,000 Marylanders read the One Maryland One Book. How many of those people are your friends or family members? How many are perfect strangers you sit next to on the train or stand in line with at the grocery store? Use the book to jump-start a meaningful conversation with an old friend or make a new one.
3. Pull up a chair
Join thousands of other Marylanders at one of the many book discussions and related programs happening around the state this fall. Keep an eye on our Event Calendar for updates. All One Maryland One Book events listed are open to the public and FREE!
At this time we have committed our full inventory of books and are not accepting more sign ups. We are thrilled to have such a robust turnout for this year’s OMOB.
Guides & Materials
Every year we work with educators and partners to bring you relevant information to enhance your reading of the One Maryland One Book. We produce a Reader’s Guide, Teacher’s Guide, and a Community Partner’s Toolkit.
Materials for our 2024 book will be posted soon.
